Thermaguard® pays tribute to the extraordinary dedication of all the firefighters who have laid down their lives to protect the community.

The Country Fire Authority held the Annual State Memorial Service at Healesville RACV Club to commemorate all the firefighters who lost their lives while serving their communities.

The service was attended by more than 250 people, which all paid tribute to the 79 firefighters who lost their lives while performing their duties.

The Annual State Memorial Service began with the 'Welcome to Country' led by the Wurundjeri Land and Compensation Cultural Heritage Councile Aboriginal Corporation and was followed by a short presentation and placing of the Colours.

CFA Board Member Lunda Hamilton, VFBV Board Member Jan Cleary, Emergency Management Commissioner Andrew Crisp APM, VFBV State Councilor and Captain or Dromana Fire Bridgade Timothy Desmond JP, Captain of Toolangi Fire Bridage Dawn Hartog and Executive Director Volunteers and Strategy John Haynes provided the readings for the annual service.

Melbourne singer Benjamin Clark also attended the service and sang Advance Australia Fair, Amazing Grace and The Lord Is My Sheperd.
